New this year, our annual conference, formerly Innovation Festival, returns with a new name, a sharpened focus, and expanded opportunities to connect research and industry. The Midwest Research & Industry Conference (KC), known as Midwest BRICK, will take place August 4–5, 2026, at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus, bringing together leaders from academia, startups, industry, investment, and economic development for two high‑impact days of discovery and collaboration.

Day 1 features cutting‑edge scientific and applied research presentations from regional universities, institutions, and innovating companies, highlighting emerging technologies, translational research, and commercialization pathways.
Day 2 transitions into a dynamic industry trade show, focused on the biomanufacturing and CRO/CDMO sectors, offering exhibitor booths, live engagement, and direct access to decision‑makers and partners.

This newly reimagined conference will bring together participants from across our ecosystem to share new breakthroughs, discuss opportunities and challenges for our bioindustries, and meet as colleagues and collaborators.  Midwest BRICK is designed to deliver value at every level.
